Dredd Megazine #294. The idea of getting back into Dredd has been kicking in my head for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, all of my Dredd comics are states away right now. So, I went online last night and bought the first four available back issues of the Judge Dredd Megazine to tide me over until I can find some decent collected works (JD: Case Files?) at my various local comic shops.

Redshirts - John Scalzi. I finished reading Redshirts in just over 24 hours. It’s a crazy good, and fast, read. If you love science fiction and sci-fi TV, you really have to read this.

Seriously can’t stop playing or thinking about Minecraft (360). Need an update stat though.

This may have been the first issue of X-Men I ever bought.

Afternoon Snack: From CNBC sports (and sometimes fast-food) reporter Darren Rovell, a big announcement via Twitter:

FIRST LOOK: Taco Bell launching Beefy Nacho Burrito on Wednesday: Nachos inside a burrito (99 cents)

This gratuitous one-upping of its own Doritos Locos Taco earns Taco Bell bragging rights for reaching the height of excess where tacos are concerned. But while the Beefy Nacho Burrito is still no match for Pizza Hut’s Crown Crust Carnival Pizza, at least it will be available stateside.

Sweet Jesus get in my belly.

Minecraft (360). I’m starting to get what Minecraft is all about. Played a ton of it over the weekend with a buddy online. The risk/reward with going into a darkened mine is a great and tense feeling. Will it lead to some awesome minerals? Will I die from falling into lava or getting blown up by a Creeper? Or, will I dig for hours and not find a damn thing?
