Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I guess this is actually going more by Reckoning, so that’s how I’ll refer to it from now on.
Saw a trailer for this a couple of months ago, looked kind of cool, but ultimately forgot about it.
Saw the demo on Xbox a week ago or thereabouts, downloaded it, then forgot about it.
Saw a rage about first-day DLC codes or whatnot, realized it’s the same game they were talking about, so I finally sat down and played the demo.
While not totally Earth-shattering, I really dug it, and am now planning on picking it up. The best way I can describe it is if Oblivion had been made by the Fable team. There are elements of both games in it, and it plays surprisingly well. Love the Space Marine-esque ability to seamlessly alternate between two weapons.
You get 45 minutes to roam around a limited amount of world after completing the tutorial. You also unlock a few items that will be available to you in the full game. Saw quite a few graphical errors throughout, so hopefully those will be fixed in the retail release.
